Meet The Cavaliers - Evelyn Orr

Happy Friday everybody and welcome to another instalment of our ‘Meet the Cavaliers’ blog. Reminder: Each week we focus on one of Apt Cavalier's biggest fans, from those who have been with us from the very start to some who literally have one of every item in our collection.

This week we say hello to Evelyn Orr who is the proud owner of gorgeous little Connemara, Rossie’s Star both of who graduated as a Wobbleberry in 2018. Evelyn has been an Apt Cavalier fan for a long time now and made her most recent purchase at Floors Castle where she added our Training Leggings to her collection.

AC: Who are you and where are you based?
E: My name is Evelyn Orr, mother of 2 handsome boys and wife to David - my wonderful and very understanding partner who never seems to object when I plan my pony parties. We are from East Lothian, I am also a Brand Ambassador for Central Equine Vets.

AC: Can you tell us a bit about your horses and what you do with them?
E: I own Rosie, a 14.2, 9-year-old Connemara pony. I bought her as a 4-year-old and we have a lot of fun together regularly competing at affiliated BD, BD and more recently BE. We completed the Wobbleberry challenge in 2018 and managed to raise over £4000 for this fantastic charity.

AC: What is your ultimate equestrian goal?
E: I have a secret dream to qualify and ride at the BE80 championships at Burghley HT and I would love to attempt a Medium dressage test!

AC: What was it about Apt Cavalier that made you want to invest in our brand?
E: I first spotted Apt Cavalier being used by a fellow amazing rider (Louise Doherty) and I was impressed with how good she looked! I really liked the concept behind the Performance Skin as being a mother of two young boys I always jump with a body protector on, so was keen to see if they really would dry quickly and keep me cool. After buying my first top I was such a convert and have since added to my collection and can honestly say everything I have bought has impressed me. I already have a Show Shirt on my birthday wish list for this year when it comes out!

AC: What is your favourite Apt Cavalier product and why?
E: It would have to be my navy Performance Skin - it has turned into my go-to top. I use it for dressage with a bib on top and it helped me survive some cold spring hunter trials this year. Although the Coolmax performance hoody is also a firm favourite!
